Joey Chou

ジョーイ チョウ

台湾生まれ。15歳の時に家族と共にアメリカへ移住。

アメリカ、ロサンゼルス近郊のパサデナ市にある大学、The Art Center College Of Design を卒業。彼は、ディズニーのアーティストでもある Mary Blair氏や

アメリカン・コミック、50年代60年代の形状のスタイルなどに大きく影響を受けており、彼自身も様々な場面とその設定を制作する為の素晴らしいビジョンを持っている。彼の作品は、南カリフォルニア・ライフスタイルと文化、ならびに、無名著名のアーティストによっても影響、反映されている。

2018年4月15日 リニューアルオープンした東京ディズニーランドのアトラクション「イッツ・ア・スモールワールド」も手がけています。

現在はロサンゼルスのSony Pictures Imageworks にて活躍中。

Joey Chou was born in Taiwan, and at 15, he moved with his family to the U.S. Joey is an alumni and graduate of the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. He is strongly  influenced by the work of Disney artist Mary Blair, comic books, and 1950s and 60s geometry. He has a wonderful vision for creating scenes and settings. His art reflects by prominent and obscure artists as well as influences by the Southern California lifestyle and culture.

Recently He did design for Tokyo Disney Resort’s renewal attraction “It’s a Small World” ride. (Opened on 4/15/2018)

Joey is now working for Sony Pictures Imageworks.
